Fly Squatter
How Fly Squatter Started
Fly Squatter started as one of those ideas that sat in the back of my mind for a while.
The inspiration came from using one of those electric fly swatters. There was something strangely satisfying, and far more entertaining than it had any right to be, about chasing flies around with an electrified racket.
That got me thinking: what if this was a game?
So one weekend, I decided to stop thinking about it and actually build it.
I took the basic idea, worked out how the gameplay might feel, created the first version of the interface and mechanics, and assembled the concept into a playable game.
That weekend experiment became Fly Squatter.
It’s a good example of the kind of project I love working on: starting with a slightly ridiculous idea, seeing whether there’s something interesting hiding inside it, and then turning that idea into something people can actually use and play.
Sometimes the best projects don’t start with a business plan. They start with, “This could be fun.”
